چکیده
In this paper, we report on the time-dependent strain-wave-induced changes in reflection and diffraction of a gold plasmonic grating. We demonstrate efficient excitation strain waves using enhanced absorption at around surface plasmon polariton resonance. addition, observe that grating show an approximately quadratic dependence pump fluence when probed wavelength 400 nm. tentatively attribute non-linear behavior to strain-induced nonlinear interband transition energy. Using model calculates permittivity taking into account d s/p transition, deduce energy would have change by about 0.013 eV for measured reflection.

Large enhancement of nonlinear optical phenomena by plasmonic nanocavity gratings.
Enhancing nonlinear processes at the nanoscale is a crucial step toward the development of nanophotonics and new spectroscopy techniques. Here we demonstrate a novel plasmonic structure, called plasmonic nanocavity grating, which is shown to dramatically enhance surface nonlinear optical processes. It consists of resonant cavities that are periodically arranged to combine local and grating reso...
متن کاملPlasmonic waves allow perfect transmission through sub-wavelength metallic gratings
We investigate the transmission properties of a metallic layer with narrow slits. Recent measurements and numerical calculations concerning the light transmission through metallic subwavelength structures suggest that an unexpectedly high transmission coefficient is possible. We analyze the time harmonic Maxwell’s equations in the H-parallel case for a fixed incident wavelength. Denoting by η >...
متن کاملBrewster angle for plasmonic gratings
In this paper, we analyze the transmission properties of metallic gratings at optical frequencies. In particular, we show that an inherently ultra-broadband tunneling mechanism may be obtained based on impedance matching between the guided modes supported by ultranarrow slits and freespace TM plane waves impinging at an oblique angle. This phenomenon is the analogous of the well-known Brewster ...

The 2-D transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) semiconductors, has received great attention due to its excellent optical and electronic properties and potential applications in field-effect transistors, light emitting and sensing devices. Recently surface plasmon enhanced photoluminescence (PL) of the weak 2-D TMD atomic layers was developed to realize the potential optoelectronic devices. Howev...
متن کاملRole of near-field enhancement in plasmonic laser nanoablation using gold nanorods on a silicon substrate.
We present experimental results for the plasmonic laser ablation of silicon with nanoscale features as small as 22 x 66 nm using single near-infrared, femtosecond laser pulses incident on gold nanorods. Near the ablation threshold, these features are photo-imprints of gold nanorod particles positioned on the surface of the silicon and have feature sizes similar to the nanorods. The single rod-s...
